Friday Night Recap:We can't believe we made it out of Super Bowl Village alive, as it looked like a scene from Titanic, an experiment of survival of the fittest for those who dared to be stuck in the Village around 8pm to 11pm. The funny thing is that LMFAO seemed to make people forget for a short while, their immediate future human gridlock woes. Check out our video at an awesome angle above.

Earlier in the night we got a chance to check out The Big Game Big Give event, which was an intimate get together of notables to support philanthropy, held at the Colts Grill. Guests checked out the cool NFL memorabilia silent auction, as well as mingled with athletes and celebs.

But the highlight for some 1500 people last night, was the opportunity to escape the madness blocks away and check out the Leather and Laces Super Bowl Party, hosted by Carmen Electra, Jenny McCarthy, and Jwoww. Both guys and girls loved this event, as they rocked the dancefloor consistently, enjoyed sushi, desserts, and custom premium cocktails until 3am. To say there was an overload of sexiness in the event would be an understatement. Check out our video below to see the gorgeous hosts interviewed and the intoxicating women of Leather and Laces.

Later we relaxed and mingled at the Super Lounge XLVI at the old Borders in the heart of downtown, a great escape into a fun crowd of athletes and celebs who were seen enjoying the spacious venue and music.

Tebow Time! All-Clutch Team Wins Madden Bowl in one of the Most Spectacular Super Bowl Events in Recent Years

SUPER SUNDAY HQ STAFF
Friday, February 3rd, 2012

Madden Bowl Recap: The Bud Light Hotel in Downtown Indianapolis was hands-down THE place to be last night as EA Sports pulled out all the stops to deliver one of the most memorable Super Bowl parties in history. The video game tournament, of course, was the centerpiece, which completely delivered and had guests eyes glued to the monitors in the early evening. Tim Tebow, Drew Brees, and Jimmy Graham ("All-Clutch Team") not only defeated the Legends Team (Warren Sapp, Deion Sanders, and Barry Sanders), but also engineered a game-winning fourth quarter drive in the final seconds to beat the All-Rookie Team (Justin Blackmon, Robert Griffin III, and Lamichael James). Super Sunday HQ was there to capture this amazing scene, so check out the video above.

As for the party portion of the event, as soon as you stepped in the venue, you could tell the DJ, crowd, and atmosphere made this the hottest place to be in Indy. Guests were truly enjoying themseleves, as they enjoyed an unlimited supply of tailgate-style appetizers and premium drinks all night. In fact, towards the end of the show, partygoers got free pizza delivery as tons of pies were being handed out to hungry folks throughout the spacious area. But the real treat came when The Roots and Nas put together some amazing performances to really liven up the bash.

As always, Madden Bowl brings out NFL's elite to party, and this year was no exception. Patrick Willis, Matt Stafford, Navarro Bowman, Beanie Wells, Arian Foster, Steve Johnson, Derrick Brooks, Brandon Marshall, Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Irvin, Warren Moon, Maurice Jones-Drew, and tons of other athletes were seen all over in great spirits.

The parties keep getting bigger, so check back for more amazing coverage from supersundayhq.com.

SUPER SUNDAY HQ STAFF
Thursday, February 2nd, 2012

What we have noticed so far about the Super Bowl Party scene is that folks like to check out the free Super Bowl Village downtown during the day, and then file into the numerous party spots along Meridian Street.
The Huddle After Hours offers a prime location, great crowd, and music to keep the party going all night until 3am. As you can see, this nightly weekend bash will fill up fast, so make sure to get a Field Pass or some VIP service to beat the masses to the dance floor. The Field Pass gives you skip-the-main-line privileges for the whole weekend, which, for $100, almost seems like a no-brainer to us. Or if you choose to simply wait and pay a cover, $30 (according to The Huddle's Twitter Feed) is a lot less than neighboring clubs and events. For those who want to skip the high-priced celebrity-filled events, and just want to hang out in some plush surroundings and dance to some great music, The Huddle is the place to be this weekend, starting Thursday. For tickets and the complete lineup, click The Huddle Banner at the top of this page or go to http://www.huddleafterhours.com/.

Thursday, February 2nd, 2012

Super Bowl Partygoers came out in full force in Downtown Indy on Wednesday night, with thousands flocking to the stages at Super Bowl Village, where bands such as Brent and the Contraband provided visitors with top-notch free performances. Afterwards, folks dispersed to various venues to enjoy the star-studded events for the evening.

We had a chance to check out the Vibe Magazine Party at Barracuda Networks' Cuda Lounge, where we spotted the host of the event, Demarcus Ware, having a great time. The posh multi-level downtown venue was the perfect spot for good looking people to unwind for the night. The event included an extensive silent auction, as well as multiple food and drink bars throughout the club.

We also hit up the Sensu Nightclub, about a block away, for a pair of events: The Wishing on Stars benefit for The United Way, as well as Glazer Palooza, named after sports analyst Jay Glazer. We spotted a tremendous amount of athletes and familiar personalities, making it impossible to cross the venue without bumping into an NFL legend or celebrity. Among notables spotted were: Frank Caliendo, Jay Glazer, Michael Irvin, Marshall Faulk, Eric Dickerson, Eddie George, Matt Leinart, Jared from Subway, Warren Moon, Brent & the Contraband, Raimi Merritt, and many more. Our Plan for Tomorrow (if we were in town early) : Zipline, The NFL Experience, Pauly D, Bret Michaels, and the Huddle Nightclub

2012 Super Bowl Village

SUPER SUNDAY HQ STAFF
Thursday , January 26, 2012

While many of us won't be getting into town this early for the Super Bowl in Indianapolis, several thousands of partygoers and sports fans from all over the world do plan to get a head start on the festivities tomorrow. The vast majority of them will descend upon "the Epicenter of Awesome," the Super Bowl Village downtown. While there are tons of activities, food and beverage opportunites, and entertainment throughout the area to enjoy, we came up with our plan of attack.

First, if we didn't pre-purchase tickets for the NFL Experience for $28, we'd arrive about 1:30 to get ready for the box office to open (2pm) to buy tickets onsite ($25). Before entering the NFL Experience at 3pm, we'd make a move for the Zipline area because the Zipline tickets have been sold out online, and only a limited amount of tickets ($10) are available on a first come, first serve basis each day. After experiencing the Zipline sometime after 3pm, and maybe even getting a photo-op with some Colts Cheerleaders (onsite from 3pm-5pm), we'd head over to the NFL Experience and the huge memorabilia show at the Indiana Convention Center nearby.

Next, around dinner time 5:30-6pm, we'd probably grab some beers (at one of the "Fire and Ice" Lounges and some Papa John's Pizza (they have a mobile kitchen onsite near the Verizon stage). We'd roam around for and check out the sights such as the: Kinect NFL Play 60 FanDome, while the Max Allen Band plays some classic blues tunes on the Pepsi Stage.

But the Verizon Stage will be a major pit-stop, from 7-8pm, and 9:30pm to 11pm, as the earlier slot will showcase a performance by Jersey Shore's Pauly D, while the the later show will feature Poison frontman, Bret Michaels. You can be sure folks will be Tweeting about these performances throughout the night.

Finally, we'd make use of our pre-purchased Field Pass from The Huddle, which gives us in-and-out privileges and skip the line benefits for only a $100 for six different nights. DJs Action Jackson and Helicon should keep the party going strong until 3am.

This Friday is the perfect time to truly the experience the Super Bowl Village, as it looks to get exponentially busier each day. So make sure you take advantage of this tomorrow if you're in town.

Meet Some Inspirational NFL and College Athletes at The 3rd Annual John Wooten Leadership Awards and VIP After Party: "It's Going to be a Great Turnout."

2012 John Wooten Leadership Awards
Reshard

BY ELIANA GREEN, SUPER SUNDAY HQ STAFF
Tuesday , January 24, 2012

The Third Annual John Wooten Leadership Awards is an event for both college and NFL athletes. The event will take place on Thursday, February 2nd, at the Central Library in Indianapolis, where two athletes will be chosen to receive the Wooten Award; one from college football and another from the NFL. The award is given to the player who best assists the community and works as a positive representative for football as a whole. Along with the award ceremony and having these inspirational athletes attend, the guest list is packed with a ton of NFL players and an awesome crowd of people. The Wooten Awards event  will include drinks and appetizers, and will be followed by a VIP after party! We had the pleasure of interviewing NFL player Kansas City Chiefs SS Reshard Langford, who is attending the Wooten Awards.

1. For people who don’t know, tell us about the 3rd Annual John Wooten Awards.

The John Wooten award goes out to the college student who basically represents the image of John Wooten himself. He was a great man. He did a lot for the NFL, as a player and in all other aspects. The award really exemplifies not only being a student and an athlete, but also by going out into the community and giving their service there. It is easily recognizable when someone who is a good person goes out into the community and tries to serve his city, his town or wherever he is in college.

2. We’ve heard that, off the field, you volunteer your time for the community. How important is this to you?

It’s extremely important to me. For one, if we as NFL players, and I’m blessed to be so, have a stage, it is great to get out in the community and to help those who are in need. Coming from a small town in Alabama, where I grew up, there weren’t any role models. In a city like I’m in, Kansas City, these other players, and even these college students, are role models to kids who dream. I know what that felt like as a young child and it’s crazy to be able to give that back.

3. Your team cracked the code to defeat the Green Bay packers during the regular
season. The Patriots seem to be favored this year, what would be your strategy against the New England Patriots?

Our strategy for that week wasn’t really anything different than what we had tried to apply the entire season. We went out like normal and we were playing a good team. Defense and offense, it was clear that our team was good as a whole. The offense was on the ball the defense was on the ball. All of the team did their job that day and it resulted in a victory. We all went out and played hard together.

4. What other events are on your radar for super bowl week?

I have a couple of things. I have a couple of radio interviews lined up for the week and I’m going to play in the celebrity bowling tournament on Thursday of that week. I’m also going to a charity football game to go out and show support for the events that are going on.

5. Back to the event, tell us about the party portion. What are you looking forward to?

It will be a nice affair. I’m really just looking forward to meeting up with my agent and the group as a whole. In the past few years I’ve gotten the chance to speak with Mr. John Wooten himself and there are a bunch of great people at this event. I’m really excited to see who all shows up. It sounds like it’s going to be a great turnout.

$150 GA Tickets for the event and sponsorships are available at (818) 430-2182.

The Maxim Super Bowl Party Interview: "Celebrities go to the other Super Bowl parties to get their picture taken on the red carpet, but they come to the Maxim party to kick back and have a blast."

Indy Maxim 2012

SUPER SUNDAY HQ STAFF
Friday, January 20, 2012

Super Sunday HQ is first in the world to report the details behind the 2012 Maxim Super Bowl Party on Saturday night at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. We caught up with event producer Tracy Kessler who filled us in on what Maxim has planned for not only its legendary Saturday Night event, but also its Sunday Tailgate Bash:

SSHQ: Last year's Maxim event, with the Carnival theme, was spectacular. Do you feel the bar was set last year and how do you go about trying to top it?

TRACY: We set the bar higher every year for ourselves. The creative process of this event is very much a team effort and the party starts to take on a life of its own as we all brainstorm how to bring the theme to life. We looked at what people really enjoyed about last year, and what factors made everyone hands down name it The Best Party of the Super Bowl. We made sure to include those elements again this year.

SSHQ: What are some details about Saturday Night's event, such as the theme/activities/performer etc?

TRACY:This year’s party is Superheroes themed. We’ve created our own band of superheroes and the town that they fight crime in. This year’s headliner is a surprise act as usual but he’s somewhat of an entertainment superhero himself.

SSHQ: What inspired Maxim to throw a Sunday Tailgate this year? What can people expect?

TRACY:The Maxim “Salute to Heroes Tailgate” will be a tailgate with a Maxim twist. The creative team has gone to great lengths to make sure that guests know they are at a Maxim Party and not your mother’s tailgate.

SSHQ: What are the goals for these events? What are some behind-the-scenes things that you are doing to make sure those goals are met? What's been most challenging so far in planning?

TRACY:The Super Bowl is the ultimate branding opportunity. It wouldn’t be a Super Bowl without the Maxim party. Behind the scenes, we are working furiously to make sure that the high expectations are met again this year. There will be plenty of celebrities, plenty of beautiful Maxim models, top rated performances and a number of things to do. We learned last year with our gaming fairway that providing something to do at the parties is probably the most important element we include to make the party stand out.

This year’s challenge has been working in a city with minimal venues that can fit a party of our size combined with the weather factor. For a tailgate, you know you’re in a tent and you deal with the elements, but for our big Saturday night party, we wanted to be able to find an indoor space that could accommodate everything we were creating.

The Inside Scoop on All The Party Details: Super Sunday HQ Interviews Rolling Stone on the Upcoming Rolling Stone Rock Weekend Super Bowl Parties: : "This Event Will Clearly Deliver."

Rolling Stone PartyRolling Stone Tailgate Party

BY ELIANA GREEN, SUPER SUNDAY HQ STAFF
Tuesday, January 17, 2012

We know folks are considering which Super Bowl Parties to splurge on during the big weekend, so we went straight to the source at Rolling Stone, Publisher Matt Mastrangelo, to get the details on one of the most anticipated pair of Super Bowl parties in recent years. In our one-on-one interview we asked Matt about the events, the party themes, celebrity amenities, the competition, and even what he thinks is the best Super Bowl matchup for Indy:

SSHQ: Hi Matt,  we have some big Rolling Stone events coming up for the Super Bowl, and we know Rolling Stone is used to throwing big music events. But what is different about throwing a Super Bowl Party for your magazine?

MATT: You have to make sure that you go bigger, broader, more spectacular than you've done in the past. We wanted to put something together that I have not seen at the Super Bowl before, and that is taking a multi-act bill, building that up, but then also delivering a really phenomenal VIP experience. A lot of times you get one or the other. So, for the Saturday night event, what we were able to do as you see in the lineup is to get four of the biggest bands in music today and put them on one bill, get them really excited about the event, and get them excited about playing together on the same bill. And then we enlisted our partner Bacardi who is celebrating their 150th anniversary to really blow out the whole experience in celebration of great parties and party scenes over the past 150 years. We'll be transporting consumers back in time to Cuba in the 1920's where Cuba was the great party scene that Americans went to during prohibition so we'll be building out some great experiences that people that  come will be able to experience. We'll have photo opportunities, a lot of different build-outs that we'll be doing of the 20's and also the 50's which is kind of the golden era of the party, mixing great cocktails. Building that out as well. And then the modern scene, the great party scene of today. So we'll have these great build-outs that will take the consumer through a journey of the past 150 years of great parties, great cocktails and then on top of that, really spectacular music with L.M.F.A.O, Cobra Starship, Gym Class Heroes, and Lupe Fiasco. It's gonna be really cool. It's going to be something that in my six years I've never experienced at a Super Bowl party. It's not just about the big "wow" factor. But it's about a big wow factor that's authentic, that's real, that's fun and allows consumers to enjoy it.

Celebrating football fans of both teams and the local residents of Indianapolis, the party will feature a premium bar, interactive entertainment and venue experiences that celebrate the fan in all of us.

2012 Indy Maxim Super Bowl Party2012 Indy Maxim Tailgate Party

BY SUPER SUNDAY HQ STAFF
Friday, January 6, 2012

On Saturday, February 4, 2012 Maxim Magazine is presenting the Maxim Super Bowl Party in Indianapolis. The location of the event is rumored to be the Indiana State Fairgrounds, which should provide plenty of room to hold what has traditionally been one of the top two parties of all events held during Super Bowl week. Guests are almost guaranteed to have the time of their life because Maxim pulls out all the stops to make sure its guests are dazzled by the entertainment, atmosphere, and amenities.

For instance, last year in Dallas for the Maxim Super Bowl Party, we had an opportunity to check out an amazing performance by Wclyef Jean, as well as experience the carnival-theme throughout the convention center-sized venue at Fair Park. With all the carnival games, bumper cars, and prize booths, the gathering made guests almost forget about the A-list celebrities in attendance such as Chris Brown, Adrian Grenier, and the Jonas Brothers.

While this event boasts a steep price tag, high rollers who splurge on this will have stories to tell and Facebook updates that will rival no other. Tickets are scarce and can rise in value quickly, so grab 'em while you can.

With open bar, delicious food, celebrities, and athletes roaming around, guests will get a chance to tailgate in style. Hosted by Tony Siragusa and Hometown Hotties winner April Rose, the event will honor Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient, Dakota Meyer, who saved 36 soldiers lives under heavy hire in Afghanistan. Keep in mind that Maxim will be bringing its A-game when throwing this party, as it presents its "Salute to Heroes" bash on gameday.

January 20th is the Entry Deadline for Bud Light's Contest to be the Next Correspondent at the Bud Light Hotel Parties in Indianapolis for Super Bowl VLVI

Bud Light Super Bowl

BY SUPER SUNDAY HQ STAFF
Wednesday, January 4, 2012

Bud Light is launching an exclusive job offer among Bud Light Facebook fans for its return to the Super Bowl in February for the third annual Bud Light Hotel, a complete rebranding of the downtown Hampton Inn in Indianapolis that is set to host major parties, concerts and events leading up to Super Bowl XLVI

Bud Light is seeking applicants through an open video casting call on its Facebook page to find the official Bud Light Hotel correspondent.  According to Anheuser-Busch, the successful candidate will receive a salary from Bud Light to star in a series of exclusive videos for the brand's Facebook and YouTube pages throughout the week, ranging from unique Super Bowl week experiences, to red carpet interviews and behind-the-scenes looks at the EA SPORTS and Playboy parties at the Bud Light Hotel.

"We have more than two million Facebook fans engaging with us on a daily basis, and unfortunately, we don't have room for all of them in Indianapolis," said Mike Sundet, senior director, Bud Light.  "But we do want to make sure they have a way to experience the Bud Light Hotel and all it has to offer.  To do that, we're hiring one of our own to be the eyes and ears of our fans and provide a behind-the-scenes look from Indy all weekend long."

Correspondent videos can be uploaded on the Bud Light Facebook page through Jan. 20, 2012, and fans will be able to 'like' their favorite videos through a special tab.  Candidates will be evaluated on both the overall quality of their submission, on-screen presence and how the Bud Light Facebook community responds to them. The last time we looked at the submissions, no particular entry stood out, so with about two weeks left, it would seem that the competition is wide open with less than 100 entries.

The 180-room Bud Light Hotel will officially open its doors on Thursday Feb. 2, 2012, at 105 S. Meridian Street in downtown Indianapolis.  With a star-studded lineup of concerts and exclusive events includes:

  • Thursday, Feb. 2 – EA SPORTS Madden Bowl XVIII - Invite Only - Nas and The Roots Headlining
  • Friday, Feb. 3 – The Playboy Party
  • Saturday, Feb. 4 – Bud Light Concert (band to be announced)
  • Sunday, Feb. 5 – Bud Light Tailgate & Concert

Adult fans can also enter to win a trip for four to the Bud Light Hotel and Super Bowl XLVI through SnapTag logos on specially-marked 12-packs of Bud Light bottles.  For more information on Bud Light Hotel, visit www.Facebook.com/BudLight.
