DirecTV Super Bowl Party (New Orleans 2013)
All week long, we ran into Mark Cuban who kept telling us that this would be THE best Super Bowl Party of the year, and he was right. Celebrities, athletes and VIPs attended this exclusive invite-only event to watch Justin Timberlake’s nearly 2-hour concert, his first in almost five years. The crowd went wild with Justin’s epic performance of his recently released single, “Suit and Tie,” joined on-stage with Jay-Z. Justin closed the show performing his number one hit “Sexy Back” with Timbaland. The party continued after his concert with DJ Questlove entertaining the partygoers.
Over 1,000 guests not only enjoyed the amazing entertainment, they also were treated to a New Orleans-inspired array of hot foods and desserts around the venue, as well as an open premium bar.
A classy and enjoyable affair, this party was was lots of fun. It didn't necessarily cater to the guys by flooding the place with models, like the Maxim party or the Leather and Laces events, but it did make up for it, by maintaining a guest list with a good ratio and with great enthusiasm for the Super Bowl celebration.

Rolling Stone Super Bowl Party (New Orleans 2013)
What do you get when you combine the BEST venue and atmosphere of Super Bowl Weekend with the Rolling Stone and Bud Light Brands? You get, hands down, the best Super Bowl Party of Friday Night, and arguably, the best Super Bowl Party of the Weekend, especially if you are not a Justin Timberlake fan.
The spacious Bud Light hotel, was the perfect setting for this epic event. Thousands who attended, checked out the photo experiences, signed guitar auctions, Bud Light beers and Straw-Ber-Ita's, passed appetizers, and other themed exhibits throughout the gala. Models danced throughout the giant tent with partygoers, and excitement filled the air as everyone couldn't wait to experience the electric performances of Pitbull and Flo Rida that night. Between sets, DJ Samantha Ronson kept the crowd going.

EA SPORTS Madden Bowl XIX at Bud Light Hotel (New Orleans 2013)
On Thursday night at the Bud Light Hotel, EA Sports kicked off the Super Bowl Weekend by putting on an event that was absolutely on par with the other major Super Bowl Parties in the top three this year. It appears that EA Sports approached this party the same way it has developed its video game Madden NFL each year: by continuing to raise the bar in every way possible.
The video game tournament this year was very competitive and though Drew Brees' team lost in the first round, some of the best night's highlights came from his team. But it was cool to see former Florida State quarterback E.J. Manuel, former Oregon running back Kenjon Barner and former Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson become the first rookie team to win Madden Bowl in its 19-year history. They acted like they won the Super Bowl, the way they hoisted that Madden Bowl Trophy.
After having attended several Madden Bowl Super Bowl Parties over the years, we witnessed the best lineup of entertainment EA Sports has ever produced. Vintage Trouble, Big Boi, & Lil Wayne brought the house down in amazing fashion, and partygoers responded enthusiastically fueled by both the exciting performances and the Bud Light that was flowing throughout the event.
Madden Bowl, more than any other event, pampered its VIPs and guests at this party. We saw models giving out beads and other goodies, as well as serving up a taste of New Orleans with passed food such as Gator Bites, Seared Steak Bites, Mini Cajun Quiches, & Muffaletas. They gave out endless New Era EA Sports Snapbacks, which many partygoers donned throughout the evening. They also made sure no one left hungry, delivering Papa John's pizzas to everyone, satisfying those late night munchies.
The guestlist was made up of NFL's elite and celebrities , who were walking all around the event, as well as in the VIP area. Arian Foster, Rob Gronkowski, Jimmy Graham, Troy Aikman, David Koechner, and many more enjoyed themselves that evening. Best Madden Bowl ever and also arguably the best Super Bowl Party of the week.
Leather & Laces Super Bowl Party (New Orleans 2013)
The sexiest parties of the Super Bowl Weekend, were, without a doubt, the Leather and Laces Super Bowl Parties on both Friday and Saturday nights. The two-night event, in its 10th year, was the biggest and best Leather and Laces gala ever, with over 50,000 square feet of party space, amazing music by DJ Avi, and several dozens of friendly scantily clad models dancing with guests. Guests also enjoyed the sushi and dessert bars, unlimited premium drinks, and non-stop shows from aerial acrobats and other cool performance artists. Let's not forget the sexy celebrity hostesses that included Jenny McCarthy, Kendra Wilkinson, Brooklyn Decker, and Audrina Patridge, who were all decked out in eye-catching outfits and added bigtime to the glamour factor.
We applaud the folks behind this event for taking it to a whole new level and providing a fantasy wonderland catered to guys, but also fun and exciting to women who attended.
Maxim Super Bowl Party (New Orleans 2013)
While scaling back the event in comparison to previous years, Patron Tequila and Maxim continued their Super Bowl tradition of delivering their signature experience for partygoers at this year's bash. A great all-around Super Bowl Party, the soiree featured Patron Tequila cocktails, gorgeous Maxim models dressed as goddesses dancing with guests, photo areas, sexy performers, amazing dance music by DJ Vice and DJ Afrojack, and major celebrities throughout the venue. Guys even got to try out the cool game "Gears of War: Judgment" at the party.
Among the celebrities spotted were Jamie Foxx, Jeremy Piven, Candice Swanepoel, Daniel Dae Kim, Patrick Warburton, Lolo Jones, Guy Fieri, Miss USA Nana Meriwether, Anthony Anderson, Sway Calloway, Anthony Mackie, Terrell Owens, Echo Kellum, Lucas Neff, Terry Crews, Eric Dickerson, Michael Irvin, Andre Reed, Carl Banks, Jeremy Shockey, Devin McCourty, Earl Thomas, Joe Thomas and Duane Brown.
DirecTV Celebrity Beach Bowl (New Orleans 2013)
If you were in town, and you didn't attend the 7th Annual DirecTV Celebrity Beach Bowl on Saturday morning, you missed out on a great time. One of the few free events to the public, this Super Bowl extravaganza is a true treasure, featuring a star-studded internationally-televised flag football game, and a performance by a major musical act.
This year, NFL greats and thousands of spectators converged on more than one million pounds of sand for an exciting flag football game followed by a performance by international superstar Pitbull at the DTV SuperFan Stadium adjacent to Blaine Kern’s Mardi Gras World. VIPs enjoyed this game in style, lounging in a preferred viewing area and sipping on mimosas and other premium open bar beverages.
Coached by former New York Giant Michael Strahan, the Blue Team earned bragging rights with a very close 43 to 42 victory over the White Team. Hall of Famer Warren Moon was a great pick to QB this team, throwing for several TD's, showing he still has the touch. Blue Team’s talent also included AJ Calloway (EXTRA), Amani Toomer (Former NY Giants WR), Anthony Anderson (Guys with Kids), Artie Lange (The Artie Lange Show), Desmond Howard (Former Heisman Trophy Winner), Erin Andrews (Sportscaster), Hannah Davis (SI Swimsuit Model), Ian Somerhalder (Vampire Diaries), Jesse Williams (Grey’s Anatomy), Jillian Barberie (TV Personality), Joshua Sasse (Rogue), Katharine McPhee (SMASH), Leah Gibson (Rogue), Mike Bettes (The Weather Channel), Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother), Rocsi Diaz (Entertainment Tonight), Ryan Kwanten (True Blood), Shawn Johnson (Olympic Gold Medalist), and Snoop Lion (Rapper, a.k.a Snoop Dogg). Rapper and fan favorite Snoop Lion of the winning Blue Team walked off the sand with the People’s Choice Award.
The White Team, coached by NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, lost by the smallest of margins after they battled it out to the very end with QB Jesse Palmer throwing an incomplete Hail Mary to Owens with seven seconds left on the clock, ensuring a Blue Team victory. Celebrities and athletes making up the White Team included: Alicia Quarles (E! News), Chace Crawford (Gossip Girl), Chrissy Teigen (SI Swimsuit Model), Eddie George (Former NFL Athlete), Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games), Kevin Frazier (omg! Insider), Lil Wayne (Recording Artist), Lolo Jones (Olympian), Maria Menounos (Extra), Matt Bomer (White Collar), Nina Dobrev (Vampire Diaries), Peter Facinelli (Nurse Jackie), Rob Riggle (NTSF:SD:SUV), Terrell Owens (Former NFL WR), Tom Arnold (Hit and Run) and Scott Porter (Hart of Dixie).
Playboy Super Bowl Party (New Orleans 2013)
We have to admit that it has been a bit of a bummer seeing Playboy scale back its annual event this year (remember Arizona 2008?), but they still produced a very fun event, making it a great choice to party on Friday night during Super Bowl Weekend.
B.O.B delivered a very enthusiastic performance, in the intimate, yet jam-packed setting at Jax Brewey. Dozens of curvaceous Playboy Bunnies mingled and danced throughout the venue, and celebrities such as Snoop Dogg (a.k.a. Snoop Lion), Neil Patrick Harris, David Arquette, John Besh, Sean Payton, and Kyle Busch.
Taste of The NFL "Party with a Purpose" (New Orleans 2013)
Super Sunday HQ was among the over 2,500 guests who attended the sold-out 22nd annual Party with a Purpose. At the event, guests sampled specialty foods from each NFL city, and met current, Hall of Fame, and alumni NFL players. Soul Asylum also performed during the event, making this a special experiece for attendees. The Taste of the NFL party definitely lived up to its name, as it had the widest variety of food options of any Super Bowl Party this year. The event had so many features that it provided guests with hours of non-stop fun and excitement, pleasing all the senses of those in the building.
In addition to funds raised from ticket sales, proceeds were generated from a silent auction, a raffle for a pair of game tickets and a 14K White Gold Pave Diamond Necklace (worn and promoted all evening by 2013 Miss America Mallory Hagan).
Other highlights for this year’s Taste of the NFL event included appearances by 2013 Miss America Mallory Hagan, Chef Andrew Zimmern of Travel Channel’s Bizarre Foods, and stars from TLC’s Cake Boss. Special guests in attendance included Gayle King of CBS This Morning, Jenna Wolfe of The TODAY Show, celebrity chef Lorena Garcia, Biff Henderson of the Late Show with David Letterman and Omar Benson Miller of CSI Miami.
Since 1992, Taste of the NFL has raised money in support of food banks throughout the United States through its annual Super Bowl fundraiser. Proceeds from this year’s event will be distributed among food banks in each NFL city nationwide with 30 percent staying in the Super Bowl host city to go to Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana.
The 2013 event was made possible through the generosity of Taste of the NFL partners including E & J Gallo, Party City, Uptown Network and American Family Insurance. Additional supporting sponsors include the Louisiana Seafood Council, Tabasco, Pernod Ricard and Crescent Crown Distributing.
Big Game Big Give Super Bowl Party (New Orleans 2013)
Regardless of what you think of Michael Bay's catalogue of movies, you have to be inspired by his commitment to a great cause. The "Transformers" director hosted The Giving Back Fund's 4th Annual Big Game Big Give party, which featured a performance by singer Jordin Sparks, in an extremely unique and impossible-to-replicate setting. Victor Cruz, John Paul DeJoria, Patrick Warburton, Anthony Mackie and Peter Weller were there, as were current and former New Orleans Saints, including Brian De La Puenta, Jed Colllins, Jonathan Vilma and Scott Fujita.
The event was held at a Mediterranean-style mansion on St. Charles Avenue, with more than 275,000 lights creating the ambience for a high-end charity event. VIP guests enjoyed gourmet dishes from top New Orleans chef, Donald Link, signature cocktails from Patron, a Cohiba cigar lounge, and saw cool Lamborghinis on display.
The event also raised funds and awareness for the development of the ALS residential facility backed by former Saint Steve Gleason. Team Gleason supports ALS education and research.
The event's presenting sponsor was JP Morgan; other sponsors included Heineken, Lamborghini and Harrah's. Visit GivingBack.Org to help.
Jay Glazer and Moves Magazine Super Bowl Party (New Orleans 2013)
The "hidden gem" of the Super Bowl Parties in New Orleans was the Jay Glazer and Moves Magazine Super Bowl Party at the Metroplitan Nightclub. We would even go so far as to say that this was more of an "industry" party, as the grand majority of the over 500 attendees were sports agents, and their professional athlete clients. A testament to the connections of both Moves Magazine and Jay Glazer, you couldn't walk 10 feet without running into an NFL Pro-Bowler or Hall of Fame athlete at this party.
Moreover, this party was a blast! DJ Scram Jones kept the dance floor packed, and there were plenty of dance partners to choose from, as a constant stream of New Orleans finest models traversed the high-end venue.
Just some of the athletes and celebs we spotted were: Joe Unitas, Ron Perlman, Chester Pitts, Warren Moon, Troy Aikman, Jay Glazer, Marshall Faulk, Eric Dickerson, Bernard Pierce, Arian Foster, Andre Reed, Michael Irvin, Ted Hendricks, Kirk Morrison, Curt Menefee, Ozzie Newsome, and Richard Sherman.
Held on a Wednesday night, this party rewarded those who came into town early to get in on the Super Bowl fun.
