The Pamela Anderson Super Bowl Party: Athletes and Angels

The party promotion team of Midnite Productions and The Wet Group is throwing a series of parties at AJA Channelside over three nights during Super Bowl week in Tampa.  Saturday night’s party (January 31), and their final party of Super Bowl weekend, will be Athletes & Angels.  This party will be hosted by former “Baywatch” babe and Playboy Playmate Pamela Anderson.  This is the second year in a row that Pam Anderson has hosted a Super Bowl party, making her somewhat of a Super Bowl party veteran.  

"Pamela Anderson wanted to bring her kids to the Super Bowl this year so we sent her the media kit for the club. She loved the look of the space itself and was very interested in doing an event while she was here," said Enrique De Jesus of Midnite Productions.

Perhaps one of the coolest attractions of the event, besides the knockout hostess, is in fact, the brand-spanking-new venue: Aja Channelside. De Jesus adds "It is Tampa's newest venue. And I'm not just saying that because we're planning the event. There truly is nothing like AJA in Tampa. Once anyone walks into the place, they'll appreciate the time that went into the designing the room and all the finishes, etc. The service motto is its going to be second to none, as well" We here at Super Sunday HQ were lucky enough to take a sneak peek at the design kit for the soon-to-be open venue, and it looks to be on par with any Randy Gerber or Ian Schrager production.

The party will be co-hosted by four NFL players (the athletes in ‘Athletes & Angels’) – Simeon Rice (one of the premier defensive ends in the NFL and currently a free agent), 49ers tight end Vernon Davis, and two San Diego Chargers players (Shaun Phillips and Stephen Cooper).   The celebrity guest list has not been announced but it seems likely that there will be a number of NFL players in attendance.  Check back to SuperSundayHQ.com for updates. 

We also asked the planners what the chances are of guests actually getting a chance to see the A-list celebrity, Pamela Anderson, as well as the NFL athletes. "We don't have a traditional VIP room. The entire club is VIP. There won't be any velvet ropes throughout the event. It's really a disappointment when people go and they don't get to see the celebrities. We don't believe in that. We want to create an experience for our customers. There will be a VIP table in the center of the main room at Asia. There is no VIP section. It is a two story venue, and our celebrities will be in the main area," said De Jesus.

DJ Vice, resident DJ at TAO in Las Vegas, will be spinning throughout the night.  If you have hit some of the hottest clubs in Las Vegas and L.A., you have probably heard DJ Vice considering he has DJ’ed at Pure, LAX, LAVO, and Area.

Super Sunday HQ asked Enrique De Jesus of Midnite Productions, about the chances of having an even guy/girl ratio, in a male dominated week. He explained "We've been doing events in the Tampa Bay Area for the last five years. Our primary business is here in Tampa. Our reputation of creating events that exceed our customers' expectations has allowed us to acquire a large network of individuals here, so the ratio in the event is obviously very important to us, but not of major concern, because we know that our female clientele base will be strong for the event."

Tickets are $300.00 which includes a premium open bar until 3 a.m. and access to all areas of the club.  "With the current state of the economy, and the fact that we wanted as many people as possible to experience Aja over super bowl weekend, our strategy was to add as much value as possible to our ticket," De Jesus told us. This party runs from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m.  AJA Channelside is located at the Towers of Channelside in Tampa which is very close to the St. Pete Times Forum. Guests strongly are encouraged to arrive early.
