Blu Magazine's Blu Bash Super Bowl Party with Vanessa Carlton

blu Magazine is celebrating the launch of their luxury lifestyle magazine with blu Bash which is taking place at the Florida Aquarium on Thursday, January 29.  This party is being promoted as ‘Thursday’s premier event’ during Super Bowl week which may be true since there are not a lot of parties happening on Thursday night and the fact that this should be a fun event in a great location.  The vibe at this event will be similar to an upscale cocktail reception.  A unique blue carpet entry will greet the celebrities that will be attending as opposed to the usual red carpet entry. 

Entertainment will be provided by a live performance by Grammy nominee Vanessa Carlton.  Hosting this party will be celebrity chef Tyler Florence, the star of the Food Network’s Tyler’s Ultimate.  There will be a premium open bar all night, tapas and hors d’oeuvres provided by Cerviche Tapas Bar & Restaurant and the first 500 guest will receive a Saks Fifth Avenue gift bag. 

Numerous celebrities, Major League Baseball players and NFL players are expected to be in attendance.  Most of the confirmed celebrities are NFL players:  Ray Lewis, Ronde Barber, John Lynch (former NFL player), Joe Flacco, Matt Cassel, Reggie Wayne, Trent Dilfer, Kyle Orton, and Amani Toomer. 

Tickets are $175 if you purchase in advance but it will cost you $250.00 if you want to buy a ticket at the event.  VIP tables are $3,000 and only a limited number of tables are available.  We would love to tell you all about the VIP set-up but the party organizers have explicitly asked us not to so you are going to have to call in order to get the information - (813) 600-4000.   We can tell you there will be VIP areas throughout the event but that is all we can say.   Party organizers are expecting between 1,000 and 1,500 partygoers for this event. 

A portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit the Taste of the NFL, America’s Second Harvest of Tampa Bay and the Florida Aquarium.  Doors open at 7 p.m.   The Florida Aquarium is located at 701 Channelside Drive in Tampa which is very close to the St. Pete Times Forum.   blu is the Official Lifestyle Magazine Sponsor of the 2009 Tampa Bay Super Bowl Host Committee.  blu will be starting out with an initial run of 15,000 issues, sent out to select residents in the Tampa Bay area.
