The Coors Light Block Party on Craftsman Court in Scottsdale targets the casually dressed partygoer, college student, or pretty much anyone who is more concerned about downing $4 beers and listening to a wide variety of bands, than rubbing elbows with celebrities all night. The gates open at 6 p.m. and drinks such as SKYY Vodka and Coors Light will be served. Tickets for VIP run $150, while General Admission tickets will cost you $40. There is a $10 service charge through Ticketmaster, though, at both price levels (Tickets apparently can be purchased at the participating bars as well). If you type in "Coors Light" when ordering your tickets, you'll get $10 off General Admission and $25 off VIP admission. VIP Tickets include access to the Street Party with 10 Live Bands, Upperdeck Sports Grill, Acme Bar and Grill and Dos Gringos Cantina as well as entrance into the VIP area. VIP ticket holders will also receive 8 drink tickets, good at any bar or club at the party, upon entering. A hosted food buffet is offered as well in the VIP area. The VIP tickets are limited. The VIP tickets do not offer front-of-the-line privileges, however. One drink at a time can be taken out of VIP areas into the General Admission Area. The General Admission crowd will get to go to the same bars and clubs, but drinks are not included and they can't go in the VIP areas.

Other ground rules include: no in and outs, no weapons, no outside food or drink allowed, no backpacks or bags larger than a small pouch or handbag, and no one allowed without a valid ID. The good news is the dress code: there is no dress code! Jerseys for once are encouraged! But I wouldn't test the limits of the dress code, as there will be a strong police presence at the event.
