St. Petersburg's own Winky Wright is hosting the Champions of the Good Life Super Bowl Party on Thursday, January 29th, 2009. For select VIP's, sponsors, and special guests, the festivites begin at 7pm, where they can mingle in a more intimate setting. For everyone else, the party begins around 9-ish. The extravaganza's theme will be Vegas Fight Night, and will feature costumed ring girls as well as casino dealers. Guests can expect to see Wright, the former Junior Middle Weight Champion of the World, and many celebrity guests, make his way down the red carpet and into the venue around 10pm. A portion of the proceeds from the purchase of The Good Life Experience tickets will go towards launching the Winky Wright Foundation, a charity organization designed to assist those who are struggling to build a healthier and more productive life, as well as The Charity for Women.
Diddy, formerly P Diddy and also formerly Puff Daddy, will co-host the event. While Diddy is known to deliver an impromptu performance now and then, no promises are made regarding any stage act by Diddy so far. Last year, Diddy hosted a block party in Scottsdale during Super Bowl Week, and left thousands pleased with the event. This year, he he has chosen to partner up with Winky Wright and others to give partygoers a taste of "the Good Life Experience." The "Good Life Experience" will last three nights, promising one star-studded event after the other.
As far as food an drink, the planners have taken an "a la carte" approach, offering drinks, Sushi, appetizers, and other food from a special menu available for purchase at the event. As for entertainment, the party boasts some of the best DJ's in the country heading out to spin at the bash, courtesy of flagship sponsor Red Bull. The attire is dress to impress, prohibiting jerseys, hats, tank tops, and over-revealing outfits. Entrants must be at least 21 years old.
We will now attempt to break down the ticket prices and what they mean. General Admission is the downstairs and outside Mediterranean bar area of the Venue. VIP is the upstairs area, the roof deck upstairs, Takara, and Viaggio. VIP does NOT include entrance to the glass champagne room. That area is for celebrities and sponsors. Another important note is that General Admission guests will have a different entrance and line to get in than VIP guests.
For Thursday Night, General Admission tickets are only $200. VIP tickets are $500 on the same night. You can purchase a 3-Night GA package for $800 or a 3-Night VIP Package for $1520. In addition, tables are offered at either a Standard Level or a Premium Level. On Thursday, Standard Tables for 4, 5, 6, or 10 persons will cost $2,000, $2,500, $3,000 and $5,000 respectively. Premiere Tables for 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12 persons will cost $2,500, $3,500, $4,500, $5,500, or $6,500 respectively. Of course, all tables require a minimum bottle purchase on top of the table price based on the number of guests per table. The minimum bottle price is $400 per bottle and the minimum Champagne price is $200. As an example, a 4 or 5 guest table will require a minimum 2 bottle purchase.
Standard tables include VIP tickets and are located in the Viaggio and Takara restaurant areas of the Venue. Premiere Tables include 1 complementary bottle, VIP tickets, and are located in the VIP areas of The Venue.
Guests should make special note of the fact that there is a set capacity at the Venue, so there will be a line. Here is what the party's website admonishes:
"Get there early. We have a set capacity, and we will be at it. If you want to make sure you are in, show up early. Tables will be held all night. So if you want a guaranteed spot, buy a table. There will be a line, so be patient with us. We will get everyone in smoothly and efficiently. Pre-Purchased tables are guaranteed admittance. General Admission and VIP admission is based on capacity. You will get in, but you might have to wait until we can allow more guests in the party. Fire Marshall rules, not ours. It’s the law, people."
