Super Bowl Party: Champions Ball 2009

Recently retired pound-for-pound boxing champ Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather, Jr. is throwing a celebrity Super Bowl party called the Champions Ball at The Cuban Club in Tampa on Saturday, January 31.  This is a party for those interested in partying late into the night since the party runs from 9 p.m. all the way to 6 a.m.  There should not be a need for an after-party with this event. The party will be co-hosted by hip-hop legend Doug E. Fresh.  Celebrities scheduled to attend will include:  Ray J., Vivica A. Fox, former Bears QB Jim McMahon, Mark Cuban, Regina King and Keyshia Cole.   Keyshia Cole and Robin Thicke are shceduled to give live performances. Floyd will go on stage and personally introduce Mayweather Music's own Tilly Key.

The party will be held at the Cuban Club in Ybor City (Tampa), which is located on the corner of Palm Avenue and 14th Street.  This is the second year in a row that Floyd Mayweather has been involved in throwing Super Bowl parties.  He rented out the amazing Wrigley Mansion in Phoenix during last year’s Super Bowl and threw three out-of-control parties.

General Admission tickets are $250.00 while VIP tickets are $650.00.   Only a limited number of VIP tickets are available for purchase.  A VIP ticket will give partygoers better access to the celebrities in attendance, an all-night open bar, and a ‘VIP Champions Buffet Breakfast’ which will be served at 4 a.m. for those needing some food to keep their party engines running.  It is unclear whether General Admission ticketholders will have access to the open bar and any food offerings that will be available.
