Opening up the Super Bowl Party week is quite a responsibility, but it should come as no surprise that New Orleans Saints' RB Reggie Bush and Ravens' LB Ray Lewis are up to the challenge, as they prepare to host the third annual Moves Magazine Super Bowl Party on Wednesday, January 28th, 2009 at the Venue in St. Petersburg, FL.

Recently, we had a chance to speak with Jen Beaver, spokesperson for Moves Magazine, about the high-profile event during Super Bowl Week.

Moves Magazine had some of the highest end sponsors of any publication around, including Rolls Royce, Mercedes-Benz Krieger. How will this event bear the signature of a Moves Magazine party?

The only time we do events is at the Super Bowl. We do one party every year, and we are on our third year. When you look at the magazine and you see the sponsors that are included, you'll see they are very high end luxury brands and I think the athletes really dictate trends so when we go to these events, and you see a lot of the trends that are there, you'll see high end cars outside and high-end jewelry on the inside. It's a really great way to match our sponsors to the athletes. That's really who they target, so its a great vehicle to bring it all together
.

How does host Reggie Bush make a good ambassador for Moves Magazine?

How does Reggie not make a good ambassador? From on the field to off the field, it's the way he carries himself. He's just so full of class. When you look at Corporate America, I think image is still important and Reggie understands that. I think he's really setting the trend for what it takes from a football player to really deliver that image off the field. He is absolutely incredible to work with. He pays very much attention to the event details and he'll call everyday asking 'what do we need to do?' or 'what can I do to help?' He's just really amazing. We're so lucky to have him.

Is Reggie Bush planning on bringin reality-star Kim Kardashian to the event?

He will be coming to the party with Kim. She's actually hosting a party on Friday Night with Carmen Electra and Jenny McCarthy, called Leather and Laces.

This will be the third year in a row for the magazine putting on a Super Bowl party. Why is it important to have an annual party at the Super Bowl?

The Super Bowl really is one of the biggest events of the the year, and one of the highest rated events on TV. So I think we have to be there. From our sponsors to the players, its really important that we put something together that really gives back to the industry itself. We work with these guys all year long. There's really no better place to throw them a party and to be able to connect the sponsors to the players.

Most of the parties are later in the weekend, what is the philosophy behind having it Wednesday night?

It is an industry party so if you look at the NFL as a whole from corporate sponsors to players, most of them are in town by Monday or Tuesday so we feel like we don't have to worry about anything else going on for Wednesday. It kind of opens Super Bowl Week and thanks those who have supported us all year long.

From Miami to Arizona, and now Tampa. How will the location of Tampa have an effect on the dynamic of the party?

Tampa Bay is very spread out, so a lot of our sponsors this year are staying in Orlando, St. Pete's, and other areas around Tampa. It's not like it was in years past. You really have to work a little bit harder to just get everyone there. Its just going to be a little more challenging because people are going to be coming so far away. I don't think it will affect us too much, because on a Wednesday Night there won't be too much traffic. We do it early enough in the week that it shouldn't be an issue. We're just happy its warm and its not chilly.

What is your measure of success for this event?

Every year we want players to walk away and say that it was their favorite party of the Super Bowl Week. we want them to go and relax and have a good time and really enjoy themselves before all the hype really gets going.

Has the state of the economy had any impact on this event?

Absolutely. it has had a huge impact on the event. I think from Corporate America, to the teams, to the fans, it affects every one of us so we just try to be very creative and how we produce the event.

Will the big stars be tucked away in a separate VIP area all night, away from the rest of the crowd? Or is it possible that the regular guests might rub elbows with an all star athlete?

Absolutely. We had over 500 athletes last year in Arizona. so if you look at the party itself, there's no way you wouldn't bump into someone.

If Ray Lewis makes it to the Super Bowl, will he still be able to host the party?

Absolutely. I'm sure he'll have a curfew on Wednesday. He won't be able to stay as late. Same thing as when the Colts played, players attended, but they were part of the earlier crowd. We're really all pulling for Ray. It's great. We're so thankful that he's the host and we're honored to have him.

Finally, do you have any late breaking info, regarding ticket prices, confirmed guests, and open bar/cash bar, etc?

Tickets are going to go on sale. We will be definitely selling tickets. We are going to do a limited amount. Probably anywhere from 250-300 tickets depending on the response we're getting. It is $350 a ticket and it will include an open bar.
