Adrian Peterson's All In Celebrity Poker Tournament Super Bowl Party
On Friday night, February 4, Minnesota Viking running back Adrian Peterson will be hosting a celebrity poker tournament at Gilley’s Dallas. The official name for this Super Bowl party is Adrian Peterson’s All-in Celebrity Poker Tournament and the pool of players for this Texas Hold’em event will be capped at 200. The event will officially start at 4:30 p.m. with a VIP reception at the Southside Music Hall at Gilley’s Dallas. A silent auction will begin at 4:45 p.m. and end at 7:15 p.m. The tournament itself will begin at 5 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m. At that time, the chips will be counted and a winner will be declared. Be sure to click on the “View Tournament Rules” link on the party website for all the relevant information on how this tournament will be conducted. Tickets to play in the poker tournament are $500 which includes drinks and a light dinner. Keep in mind that this price is listed as “early bird” which means that the ticket price might go up at some point. For those who just want to enjoy the event and watch the action, there is a $150 ‘VIP Spectator’ ticket which includes two complimentary drinks and a light dinner. $25,000 in prizes will be given out to those finishing in first, second and third place. The exact prizes have not yet been announced. Celebrities expected to be in attendance include: poker pro Phil Hellmuth, Chicago Bears Defensive End Julius Peppers, Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald, Minnesota Vikings WR Bernard Berrian and Dallas Cowboys RB Tashard Choice. This is a charity event which will benefit Adrian Peterson’s All Day Foundation that creates educational experiences and enrichment opportunities for under-served children. For those partygoers who want to really do it up for Super Bowl weekend (and we know that is most of our readers), note that this party is scheduled to end at 9:30 p.m. so you will want to have plans for the rest of your Friday night in place.
